Description

Month long summer program enhances science education in grades 6-12. Educators conduct laboratory projects with peers, university faculty, and Oak Ridge scientists. The Academy selects 20 to 40 school teams of two to four teachers who are committed to implementing change in their school systems. Topics include: nature of mathematical and scientific ideas, instructional methods that promote problem-solving abilities, and the interrelatedness of mathematics and science.
