Volunteer Opportunities

LPPB Store Volunteers
  • Greeter- Welcome the teachers as they come in and be a valuable source to them as you explain the shopping process while enhancing their shopping experience as you will be the first smile they see.

  • Check-Out Assistant-  A perfect time for conversation, this is when we learn how teachers will be using their items while assisting teachers in documenting their "purchase."

  • Stock Clerk- As teachers drop by supplies move fast. We need help making sure necessary school supplies are always easily accessible to all teacher shoppers.

  • Inventory Assistant- Community members are eager to help in this cause and as donations come in we try to move them into the store as quickly as possible; however, we need help keeping an accurate number of the items coming in as well as bundling and sorting before they can be displayed for the teachers.

At LPPB we want to make sure all volunteers enjoy their experience. Therefore the different positions are usually done by people who feel comfortable in that area; however, at times things may just be moving and one can end up doing a variety of the afforementioned positions in order to best serve our teachers.

LPPB Administrative Opportunities
  • Marketing and Development- Help spread the word about LP PENCIL Box; assist with newsletters, mail appeals, promotional materials and other marketing tasks.

  • Data Entry- As donations come in and they are rapidly consumed by our teachers we need help keeping our data up to date.

There are a variety of opportunities at LPPB because we value the insight of experts in their fields. We can not provide this service to the community alone, so if you would like to assist us by providing LPPB with your skill or talent please contact us and let us know how you would like to be involved. LPPB Advocates

If you are passionate about public education and ensuring that Nashville students have the tools they need for academic success, but do not have the opportunity to become fully involved yet we encourage you to become an advocate. One person can make a huge difference by word of mouth to encourage others to support public education.

Supply-Drive Host/Hostess

LPPB is open throughout the school year and we are constantly in need of restocking our shelves in order to provide essential school supplies to Nashville public school students. If you would like to host a supply drive please click here for more information or  here to contact us!
